At Red Mountain Theatre

LINEUP

An artist hailing from the vibrant city of Birmingham, Alabama, I am Allie Nichols—a multifaceted creator driven by an insatiable passion for art, music, and dance. Armed with a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, I have embarked on a journey to infuse intersectional justice into the fabric of my work as a director, choreographer, and performer.

My artistic philosophy revolves around the belief that creativity is not only a means of self-expression but also a powerful tool for societal change. Having been inspired by role models who ignited the spark within me, I am dedicated to serving as a catalyst for creation, aspiring to inspire others on their artistic journeys.

A staunch advocate for arts education in public schools, I recognize the transformative impact the arts have on childhood and human development. Through my work, I seek to dismantle barriers to access, creating spaces where the arts flourish as an essential component of personal and collective growth.

HEY GUYS!

In addition to my theatrical endeavors, I have engaged with the community as the Head of Dance at the Jefferson County Academy of Theatre and Dance. This role enables me to contribute to the development of aspiring artists, fostering an environment where creativity and diversity thrive.

My training, ranging from singing and acting to various dance forms, equips me with a diverse skill set that enriches my artistic palette. Specializing in Estill Voice, Stanislavski acting techniques, and an array of dance styles, I am committed to continuous growth and exploration.

As an artist, I am not confined to the stage alone. I am a painter, a designer, a puppeteer, and a repository of random Star Wars trivia. My commitment to justice extends beyond the thematic content of my work to my role as a facilitator, bringing the arts to communities through education and engagement.

In every endeavor, I invite audiences to join me on a journey of exploration, reflection, and celebration. My hope is to contribute to a world where art becomes a universal language of empathy, understanding, and profound social change.

"The artist is not a special kind of person,

rather each person is a special kind of artist."

-Amanda Coomaraswamy
